extremely well crafted noise. as stated by the artist, this release contains a certain hyperactive energy,
which translates into fun for the listener. this is one of the few noise releases that can come off as fun, energetic and positive.
at times cinematic and pleasant, at times harsh and abrasive, kihsiiy is a must for anyone who wants to experience a new kind of noise, as opposed to the endless releases
of hateful noise already available out there.
artist statement:
"After a few years of performing and recording, noise has ceased to
be an outlet of alienation and negativity for me. I think this
recording definitely involved tension and anxiety, but not really any
anger. I'm starting to approach noise from a more positive, colorful
point of view, and I think with that comes the more hyperactive
energy of this recording. Although I always feel that I tend to sway
towards the dramatic, I think my work is starting to head toward the
more human, and the cartoony; even though those two can be seen as
opposites. I'm hoping to express several chapters of emotion and
narrative sense of space, but that's probably the filmmaker in me
talking." -Jonathan Enrique Barajas
